Bio

Abidisalam “Omok” Uulu Kubanychbek has long been pulling at the heartstrings of the Kyrgyz people, and in the first event of 2023, his compatriots were left bursting with pride when he became the first-ever Kyrgyzstan BRAVE CF lineal world champion.

It was a long and frustrating journey for “Omok’ who had faced various disappointment, but he remained steadfast in his pursuit of greatness and eventually opened the history books after beating Russia’s Kamil Magomedov to claim the undisputed BRAVE CF Lightweight championship at BRAVE CF 69 last month.

It was the culmination of years of hard work, tears, and sacrifice for the man who initially started in wrestling before transitioning over to the fastest-growing sport in the world - mixed martial arts.

Kubanychbek forms part of the first wave of professional Kyrgyzstan mixed martial artists to hit the global stage, and what an impact he has made since his debut in 2015.

He has built a notorious reputation with a record of 20 wins, three losses, and one No Contest.

The man is often compared to MMA great Khabib Nurmagomedov for his ruthless wrestling, non-stop cardio, and unassuming demeanor.

Kubanychbek has been recognized by his peers and BRAVE CF fans as the most feared man on the roster, pound-for-pound, as he remains unbeaten in seven fights inside the BRAVE CF cage.

He has done wonders for the sport in his homeland and is well on his way to building a long-lasting legacy for his people in the same manner Nurmagomedov has for the citizens of Dagestan.
