BRAVE Combat Federation is pleased to announce the winners of the 2022 End of Year MMA Awards. In a historic year, records were broken, and viral moments took over in the awards as the fastest-submission in the organization’s entire history was awarded with one of the awards, as well as a viral KO moment that shook the internet.

In 2022, Nkosi Ndebele made a very impressive jump from prospect to full-fledged title contender. With two decisive wins in the calendar year, he was a no-brainer for BRAVE Nation as the years’ Breakout Fighter. ‘’The Future’’ now has the biggest fight of his career in front of him, as he takes on Jose ‘’Shorty’’ Torres in a probable number one contender’s bout at Bantamweight.

Mashrabjon Ruziboev definitely stepped out of the shadow of his big brother Nursulton, the winner of 2021 BRAVE CF KO of The Year. At BRAVE CF 59, in Uzbekistan, ‘’Black Junior’’ firmly set his name in BRAVE CF folklore by landing the fastest-ever submission, with a guillotine choke win over Niyaziddin Rysbaev in only 18 seconds. The win was greeted by BRAVE Nation as worthy of the 2022 BRAVE CF Submission of The Year award.

Chad Hanekom had a 2022 to remember as the South African Middleweight continued to bounce back from his title defeat with two enormous wins. However, his year was marked by an earth-shattering viral KO that landed him on MMA pages and mainstream media around the world. At BRAVE CF 66, he landed a brutal elbow on In Jae La, flattening his opponent and eventually earning the popular vote for KO of The Year.

At BRAVE CF 59, the most feared man in BRAVE CF showed he was human. Abdisalam Kubanychbek had run through opposition prior to meeting Olzhas Eskaraev. But when they faced off for the Lightweight interim world title, Olzhas wasn’t afraid to exchange with Kubanychbek and showed why he’s one of the top Lightweights in Asia by taking Abdisalam to the limit in a fight that left fans around the world on the edge of their seats. In the end, Kubanychbek earned the interim title, but Eskaraev also earned the respect of every fan. Their bout has been deservedly named as Fight of The Year for 2022.

Finally, Asu Almabaev has truly graduated in 2022, with three wins in as many bouts at BRAVE CF during the calendar year. The 2021 Breakout Fighter of The Year has officially been named as the 2022 Fighter of The Year and fans can expect huge things from Asu in 2023.
