BRAVE CF 88 is just around the corner and ahead of the event this Saturday, Light Heavyweight title contenders Erko Jun and Alexander Wesner crossed paths during fight week at the hotel.
Much to the surprise of everyone, the fighters greeted each other with respect, exchanged a hug, and shared friendly words.
Erko and Wesner will be locking horns in the main event of BRAVE CF 88 this weekend for the vacant Light Heavyweight title and the showdown is one of the most anticipated fights of the year.
Erko comes into the fight on the back of an impressive finish at BRAVE CF 81 against former Title challenger Mohamed Said Maalem and is gearing up for his third straight BRAVE CF main event. The Bosnian noted that he is ready for the event and addressed his opponent.
“I feel more than ready and it is going to be a night to remember. It is going to be an event to remember. I am excited for it. He looks focused. He looks ready. He is chill like me,” Erko Jun noted.
Meanwhile, Wesner comes into the fight on the back of a five-fight winning streak and is a regional champion at Middleweight. The German knockout artist now looks to showcase his skills to a global audience and make history by becoming the BRAVE CF Light Heavyweight champion. He is considered as the faster and younger version of Erko which makes this fight interesting.
The BRAVE CF Light Heavyweight division has previously seen champions such as Klidson Abreu and Mohammad Fakhreddine and now, Erko and Wesner will seek to join this elite list as they headline BRAVE CF 88.
The event, held in partnership with WFC, will be BRAVE Combat Federation's second show in Slovenia in 2024, following BRAVE CF 81. It will also feature the inaugural BRAVE CF Heavyweight title fight, where Lithuanian powerhouse Pavel Dailidko faces Polish star Patryk Dubiela in the co-main event.
