Erko Jun and Alexander Wesner put on arguably the best fight in BRAVE CF Light Heavyweight history as both men went to battle, showcasing the highest level of heart and determination with the 205-pound world title on the line. In the main event of BRAVE CF 88, Jun and Wesner elevated the level of the division for years to come.
In the end, Erko Jun fulfilled his lifegoal of becoming a world champion as he knocked Alexander Wesner out in the fourth round after more than 15 minutes of an amazing battle. As the belt was put on Erko’s shoulder by BRAVE CF president Mohammed Shahid, both men embraced and changed quick words, as Jun described how the respect he had for Wesner changed his entire gameplan.
‘’We knew how tough he was and that he was not going to go down, and we had to change things up, be patient and wait for the right time’’, said Erko. But the true testament to the mutual respect between both warriors took place on the backstage, post-fight, when both of them had a long conversation, exchanging battle notes, comparing wounds, and praising each other for the masterpiece they mutually created on the BRAVE CF canvas. In the video captured by BRAVE CF, Jun could be seen speaking how his shin was battered from so many leg kicks thrown, and Alexander was quick to show his own battered leg from receiving so much punishment. They parted ways with a hug and a heightened sense of mutual respect and, why not? A sense of a future friendship in the making.
