A beautifully executed submission can be the highlight of a fight night. Luckily for BRAVE CF fans, there have been plenty of high-level submission victories in 2020 that stunned the audience.
As a way to look back on the most iconic submissions of 2020, BRAVE CF has now released the top seven submission victories of the year. Fans will have the chance to decide the best submission of 2020 through online voting as part of BRAVE CF Year of Change Awards.
Six fighters have been nominated for the awards. The first nominee is Benoit St. Denis. His win against Ivica Truscek by kneebar at BRAVE CF 34 earned him his place on this list. The second nominee is BJJ specialist Louis Glismann who capped off his victory against Henri Lintula with a perfectly executed Rear Naked Choke at BRAVE CF 37.
Grappling phenom and former Welterweight champion Abdoul Abdouraguimov is the only fighter who earned two nominations on the same award. His finish against Carl Booth in the main event of BRAVE CF 38 with a Brabo Choke is the first entry to his name. His equally impressive victory by Arm-Triangle choke against Louis Glismann at BRAVE CF 44 is his second entry.
Ikram Aliskerov's Kimura submission victory against Denis Tiuliulin turned eyes at BRAVE CF 41. Ikram's entry is one of only two entries on the list that is not a choke. Muhammad Mokaev dominated Jamie Kelly before sealing his first submission victory of his young professional career at BRAVE CF 43. He did so with a beautifully executed Rear Naked Choke..
Kasum Kasumov put on a breathtaking performance against Dimitar Kostov at BRAVE CF 43. He submitted his opponent within the first minutes of the first round with a tight Arm-Triangle Choke leaving his opponent unconscious.
The best submission will be announced based on the voting results from the fans who have the chance to vote by visiting BRAVE CF’s official Instagram account(www.instagram.com/bravemmaf).
