BRAVE CF Super Welterweight champion Kamal Magomedov is preparing for his first title defense at BRAVE CF 89 in Spain and for Magomedov, this fight is a chance to solidify his status as the best Super Welterweight in the world.
The Russian superstar has been unstoppable in his professional MMA career, securing all eleven of his wins via finishes. He made a strong debut at BRAVE CF 55 in 2021, submitting Vitali Tverdokhlebov in the first round. Kamal continued his dominance at BRAVE CF 63 by defeating Olli Santalahti, which earned him a title shot. His rise to the top of the division came at BRAVE CF 77 when he stopped then-champion Marcin Bandel in the first round, declaring himself the best Super Welterweight in the world.
A day after his victory, Luiz Cado from Brazil emerged as the top contender by securing his third consecutive win at BRAVE CF 78, setting the stage for the highly anticipated showdown.
Nearly a year after their triumphs, Magomedov and Cado will face off to determine the world’s top Super Welterweight. Magomedov has shown no weaknesses, excelling both in striking and grappling when Cado, equally impressive, has finished all three of his BRAVE CF opponents.
When these two meet at BRAVE CF 89, in what will be the first-ever MMA world title fight on Spanish soil, the question remains: will Magomedov continue his undefeated streak, or will Cado rise as the new champion and add to Brazil’s legacy in BRAVE CF?
BRAVE CF 89 takes place on October 19, in association with Fight2One, at Pabellón Santiago Martín in Tenerife. The event also concludes BRAVE CF’s ''Around the World in 70 Days'' tour, which included stops in China, Pakistan, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, and Slovenia, covering over 17,000 km globally.
