BRAVE Combat Federation will make history at BRAVE CF 88 in Slovenia by crowning its first-ever Heavyweight champion when Pavel Dailidko faces Patryk Dubiela in the co-main event.
This is one of the biggest fights in the organization's history, as the Heavyweight division is the only weight class that has not had a title bout since BRAVE CF's inception in 2016 and the BRAVE CF matchmakers have selected the best possible contenders for the occasion with both Pavel and Dubiela deserving a shot at the inaugural title.
Pavel Dailidko has been the uncrowned king of the division for some time. After losing in his BRAVE CF debut at BRAVE CF 65, he used that setback as motivation and has been unstoppable since. In 2023, he became the first fighter in BRAVE CF to secure three consecutive first-round knockouts in a single year. Pavel further solidified his claim to the title with a fourth straight finish at BRAVE CF 81, where he defeated the experienced Valdrin Istrefi.
Dubiela, on the other hand, stepped into the fight on short notice after Azamat Nuftillaev's withdrawal. However, he had been preparing for a bout at BRAVE CF 88 against Valdrin Istrefi, which kept him ready for the opportunity. Dubiela has trained with some of Poland's top fighters, including Jan Blachowicz and former BRAVE CF champion Marcin Bandel and comes into the fight on the back of a first-round finish at BRAVE CF 81, preparing him for a world title showdown. Dubiela’s world-class grappling skills are expected to pose a different challenge for Pavel, whose only loss in BRAVE CF was against Shamil Gaziev, a fighter with similar grappling abilities and knockout power.
When these two fighters meet at BRAVE CF 88 to determine the first BRAVE CF Heavyweight champion, it promises to be a thrilling showdown for MMA fans in Europe and worldwide.
BRAVE CF 88 will take place on September 28 in Slovenia and will be headlined by the Light Heavyweight title fight between Erko Jun and Alexander Wesner. The event is part of BRAVE CF's 70-day world tour, which has already included stops in China, Pakistan, Bulgaria, and the Netherlands with upcoming events in Slovenia, and Spain.
