The stage is set for one of the most anticipated rematches in BRAVE Combat Federation history, as Omar Solomanov and Rauan “Shymyr” Bekbolat are officially cleared to headline BRAVE CF 98 in a clash for the BRAVE CF Interim Featherweight World Championship.

The weigh-in results were formally released by the promotion ahead of Friday night’s historic event at Henan TV Studio 8 in Zhengzhou, confirming all bouts are on track.

At the forefront stands the highly awaited sequel between Ukraine’s No. 1-ranked contender Solomanov and Kazakhstan’s No. 2-rated Bekbolat.

Their first encounter at BRAVE CF 85 in August 2024 sent shockwaves through the featherweight division when Bekbolat pulled off a stunning upset, submitting Solomanov with a third-round guillotine choke.

Now, with championship gold on the line, their rivalry reaches its boiling point. The winner will not only hoist the interim crown but also secure a guaranteed unification showdown with reigning divisional king Nemat “Eagle” Abdrashitov of Kyrgyzstan.

This main event also carries historic weight, as it marks the first time a BRAVE CF World Championship will be contested on Chinese soil, underscoring the significance of the organization’s third visit to the nation.

Beyond the headliner, BRAVE CF 98 boasts a stacked card. In the co-main event, hometown hero “The Stalker” Xie Bin makes his long-awaited promotional debut against former BRAVE CF Bantamweight World Champion Nicholas Hwende of Zimbabwe in a pivotal featherweight showdown.

Also featured is the return of No. 5-ranked super lightweight contender Khamzat Maaev, a rising star who has drawn comparisons to global MMA icon Khamzat Chimaev, going up against Azerbaijan’s Ferhad Ehmedov.

History will also be made when Owais Yaqoob steps inside the BRAVE CF cage, becoming the first mixed martial artist from Kashmir, India, to compete under a major international banner, as he tangles with Filipino hard-hitter Ian Paul Lora.

Meanwhile, Indian veteran Kantharaj Agasa returns to action for the first time in nearly six years, locking horns with China’s Ti Haitao.

The weigh-ins themselves provided an early spark of drama. While most face-offs were marked by mutual respect, tensions flared when Iran’s Mojtaba “The Soldier Panther” Nasir squared off with Zeqiuduoji, triggering a heated exchange that drew roars from the Zhengzhou crowd.

The moment added an extra layer of intensity heading into fight night.

With Solomanov and Bekbolat poised to settle unfinished business at the top of the card, BRAVE CF 98 promises to deliver a night of world-class action, once again reinforcing the organization’s mission to showcase elite talent on a truly global stage.
