Roman Bogatov returns home to prove his value internationally at BRAVE CF 46
Orenburg’s Roman Bogatov is arguably one of the biggest talents to emerge from Russia in recent years, a claim that has found reasoning with 10 wins in his first 10 professional bouts. Bogatov had headed West before but felt he did not get the recognition and the respect he truly deserves. Now he returns home for his first fight under the BRAVE CF banner - in search of respect and recognition.
With a professional record of 10 wins, 7 of which came by way of knockout, technical knockout or submission, and only a single loss, Bogatov has become the single most coveted talent from Russia. His debut at BRAVE CF has been closely followed by his growing fanbase, who are eager to see him bounce back from his first career loss.
His arrival at BRAVE Combat Federation, though, won’t be celebrated with warm greetings and an easy time. Bogatov will be welcomed to the truly global Mixed Martial Arts promotion by one of the biggest prospects coming out of Kazakhstan, Nurzhan Akishev.
With a professional record of 11 wins and only one loss, Akishev is coming off four consecutive wins and has completely obliterated the competition in his home country. He’s now ready to make a move to the international scene and knows that a win over Roman Bogatov is the statement he needs to put his name out there.
Roman Bogatov vs Nurzhan Akishev will be a featured Catchweight bout at BRAVE Combat Federation’s maiden card in Russia, BRAVE CF 46. The fight night will be held in Sochi, on January 16, 2021, in association with the local promoters Krepost Selection.
BRAVE CF’s first-ever event in Russia will make history as Super Lightweight world champion Eldar Eldarov will defend his throne for the first time, in home soil, against Leonardo Mafra, one of Brazil’s most well-known strikers, a product of the famed Chute Boxe Academy and representing Kings MMA currently.
