Rizwan Ali fulfils promise, gets first round KO in rematch; Srikant Sekhar retires after BRAVE CF 92 co-main event

Pakistani superstar Rizwan Ali backed up his words in the co-main event of BRAVE CF 92 in Bahrain, stopping Indian MMA veteran Srikant Sekhar in the first round to remain undefeated in his professional MMA career.
Ahead of their showdown at BRAVE CF 92, Srikant and Rizwan exchanged heated words at the pre-fight press conference, during which Rizwan boldly promised a first-round knockout. He delivered on his promise on Fight Night, dropping Srikant after breaking from a grappling exchange to secure his second straight win over the Indian star.
Previously, at BRAVE CF 85 in Pakistan, Rizwan had earned a third-round knockout victory over Srikant, setting the stage for their rematch in Bahrain. With this latest win, Rizwan improved his record to an impressive 9-0 and solidified his status as a rising star in the BRAVE CF Lightweight division.
Meanwhile, Srikant Sekhar announced his retirement from the sport in his post-fight speech. A pioneer of Indian MMA, Srikant enjoyed a 13-year-long career during which he represented the nation on the global stage. Leaving his gloves in the cage as a symbolic gesture, he thanked BRAVE Combat Federation for the opportunity.
“There are ups and downs in the game. I have died by the sword, and I have lived by the sword. I’m 33 years old and I’ve been fighting for 13 years, but it does not feel the same anymore. I think it’s time for me to hang up the gloves, and I’m glad I’m doing it at BRAVE Combat Federation,” Srikant said in his retirement speech.
BRAVE CF 92 marked the conclusion of a historic year for BRAVE Combat Federation, which saw the organization expand its global reach and break multiple records.
