Alex Lohoré secured his second straight first-round finish in BRAVE Combat Federation at BRAVE CF 86 in Bulgaria and the Frenchman is now looking to become a World Champion when the organization lands in France later this year.
Lohoré, a five-time MMA champion outside of BRAVE CF, made his debut with the organization at BRAVE CF 83 in the Netherlands, where he defeated former Super Welterweight champion Marcin Bandel in the first round. Following his win over Bandel, Lohoré called for a title fight in France in his post-fight speech.
After his latest victory over Jivko Stoimenov in the co-main event of BRAVE CF 86, Lohoré has reiterated his demand to fight for the BRAVE CF Super Welterweight title in France. His case for a title shot is strong as well since he holds a victory over a former champion and has now ended Stoimenov's two-fight winning streak.
"We want the belt. I said we want the belt; that is what we are here for. Bossman [Mohammed Shahid], let us know. I know we were supposed to take me to France, if you can make that happen—a title shot in France, or even a fight in Paris. Like I said, keep me active," Lohoré stated in his post-fight speech at BRAVE CF 86.
While Lohoré is focused on securing a title shot, he has also attracted attention from other contenders in the Super Welterweight division, such as Eliezer Kubanza, who has called him out multiple times. Kubanza, like Lohoré, has built an impressive record, achieving three first-round finishes in the division.
Regardless of what the future holds, Lohoré has made a strong claim for a title shot and could be the first challenger for Kamal Magomedov, who is awaiting his first title defence after winning the title at BRAVE CF 77 by defeating Marcin Bandel.
