Rauli Tuturauli cemented his place among the lightweight elite by capturing the BRAVE CF Interim Lightweight World Championship, closing out a landmark evening for Georgian mixed martial arts at BRAVE CF: GEORGIA VS. THE WORLD inside the Tbilisi New Sports Palace on Friday, October 3.

The inaugural premium live event in Georgia, staged in partnership with Georgian Fighting Championship (GFC), headlined the fifth edition of BRAVE International Combat Week and featured nine explosive encounters that showcased the nation’s top talents against world-class opposition.

Rauli Tuturauli Cops Gold

Carrying the weight of his nation’s hopes, Rauli Tutarauli delivered a career-defining performance against Dutch veteran Pieter “The Archangel” Buist in the main event.

From the opening bell, the Georgian powerhouse imposed his grinding wrestling and stifling top control, nullifying Buist’s striking arsenal.

In the second round, Tutarauli nearly ended the contest with a deep arm-triangle choke, sending the Tbilisi crowd into a frenzy.

Refusing to ease off, Tutarauli kept the pressure high in the championship rounds, outworking Buist in every exchange.

After five grueling rounds, he emerged with a unanimous decision victory, becoming the first Georgian to seize BRAVE CF gold.

With the interim crown in his possession, Tutarauli now sets his sights on unifying the titles in a long-awaited rematch with lineal divisional king and rival Abdisalam Uulu “Omok” Kubanychbek.

Abramishvili Stuns Nazarov In Co-Main Event

In the co-feature attraction, Georgian sensation Lasha Abramishvili scored the biggest win of his promising career, stopping third-ranked bantamweight contender Khurshed Nazarov of Tajikistan.

Abramishvili floored his opponent with a sharp right straight and then sealed the deal with a barrage of hammerfists, forcing the referee’s intervention just one second before the end of the opening round.

Narsavidze Secures Submission Triumph

Mukhrani Narsavidze kept Georgia’s momentum alive with a stellar submission win over Moldovan foe Gheorghe Gritko in an 85.1-kilogram catchweight matchup.

After a quick takedown, Narsavidze relentlessly hunted for openings until he cinched a tight arm-triangle choke, compelling the tap and earning a decisive victory.

Giorgadze Shines In Promotional Debut

Making his maiden BRAVE CF appearance, Luka Giorgadze delivered a dominant performance against Aruba’s Reymond “Monti” Jowett in a 66.8-kilogram catchweight duel.

Hammering his foe with debilitating leg kicks and crisp boxing combinations, Giorgadze controlled the pace through three rounds en route to a commanding unanimous decision triumph.

Khan Extends Winning Run

Pakistan’s unbeaten star Ismail “The Volcano” Khan showcased his grappling prowess once again, dispatching Elmir Jafarov of Azerbaijan in under a round of a 59.5-kilogram catchweight tussle.

Khan fastened a rear-naked choke that left his opponent unconscious, notching his sixth career submission win and extending his BRAVE CF streak to three.

Kuanysh Outduels Bolkvadze

Kazakhstan’s Timur Kuanysh spoiled the party for the home crowd, besting Georgia’s Dimitri Bolkvadze in an intense featherweight battle.

Kuanysh nearly wrapped things up in the second frame with a rear-naked choke, but Bolkvadze mounted a gritty comeback.

Ultimately, Kuanysh’s relentless wrestling and late surge earned him a unanimous decision nod.

Tsertsvadze Delivers First Finish Of The Night

In women’s 60.5-kilogram action, Georgian heroine Borena Tsertsvadze dispatched Azerbaijan’s Khanim Bashirova with a swift ground attack.

After an early takedown, Tsertsvadze locked in a scarf-hold armlock to force the tap, notching Georgia’s second victory of the card.

Focxverashvili Dominates French Opponent

Georgian lightweight Badri Focxverashvili electrified the crowd with a masterclass in grappling against France’s Levy Carriel.

Utilizing suffocating top control and ground strikes, Focxverashvili cruised to a crystal-clear unanimous decision win, adding another highlight to Georgia’s tally.

Atanasov Opens With Split Decision Victory

BRAVE CF: GEORGIA VS. THE WORLD opened with a spirited 57.5-kilogram catchweight clash between Bulgaria’s Nikolay Atanasov and Azerbaijan’s Adigozel Guliyev.
