BRAVE Combat Federation will soon unveil the biggest rising star in the Light Heavyweight division globally when Bahrain’s Rasul Magomedov makes his professional debut at BRAVE CF 72 next week. Magomedov takes on Egypt’s Mohamed Hisham Baraka on June 23 in the last show of this year’s Kombat Kingdom series, which takes place in Riffa, Bahrain - BRAVE CF’s second show in the Middle East for the year thus far.

Magomedov is a man of prestige, and the unbeaten Bahraini comes into the most-global MMA promotion with lots of promise and expectation after cleaning up in the amateur divisions with thirteen wins in thirteen fights spanning over three years. The KHK Team Bahrain athlete’s dominance has earned him the number-one-ranked amateur Heavyweight title.

Training under the tutelage of BRAVE CF Super Lightweight champion Eldar Eldarov, not only has the two-time IMMAF Heavyweight Champion overcome all at the IMMAF amateur tournaments he’s competed in, but just last year he also secured Grand Slam status after he won every competition in the 2022 IMMAF calendar which included the IMMAF World Championships, the World Cup, as well as the Asia Championships.

Magomedov also earned the respect of the global wrestling fraternity after defeating world-renowned wrestler Kyle Snyder at the 2019 Golden Grand Prix Ivan Yarygin competition before transitioning to mixed martial arts. There are very few athletes of Magomedov’s size with his credentials, dynamism, and pedigree. This reality bodes well for the big man as he could make an immense impact on the global MMA scene and become the new face of the fight game.

That journey begins this month when he drops to 205 pounds to meet his Egyptian opponent, who returns to the cage for the second time after making his debut in 2019. A win for Magomedov could be the start of his journey to the BRAVE CF Light Heavyweight title previously owned by BRAVE CF’s first double champ (Middleweight and Light Heavy) and Lebanon’s Mohammad Fakhreddine.
