Pavel Dailidko’s reign already shadowed by up-and-coming Heavyweights from BRAVE CF

BRAVE Combat Federation marked a historic moment at BRAVE CF 88 in Slovenia by crowning its first-ever Heavyweight champion. Lithuanian powerhouse Pavel Dailidko claimed the title with a decisive first-round victory over Patryk Dubiela, securing his place in BRAVE CF’s legacy as the inaugural Heavyweight champion.
Although the achievement is noteworthy, defending the title in BRAVE CF's highly competitive Heavyweight division presents a huge challenge for Pavel.
At BRAVE CF 88, two other Heavyweight fighters, Luka Podkrajsek and Miha Frlic, delivered notable performances with impressive stoppage victories. Luka, who had previously lost to Pavel at BRAVE CF 70, dominated Italian veteran Michele Mirabella with a first-round finish, reinforcing his potential for a rematch. Miha Frlic, meanwhile, secured a 37-second knockout of Samuele Di Guardo, a fighter coming off a three-fight win streak, further solidifying his own case for a future title shot.
Another contender in the division is Valdrin Istrefi, who was the official backup for the Heavyweight title fight at BRAVE CF 88. Istrefi, with 15 career wins, previously faced Pavel at BRAVE CF 81, where he suffered a second-round stoppage. Since then, Istrefi earned a first-round finish in the regional scene, increasing his claim for a rematch with Dailidko.
Elsewhere, Rasul Magomedov, a multi-time IMMAF Heavyweight champion, also emerges as a possible contender. Although he has primarily competed at Light Heavyweight in his professional MMA run, Magomedov could move up to the Heavyweight division. He also holds a victory over Miha Frlic in the amateur ranks, making him a worthy challenger for Pavel.
As Pavel celebrates his championship win, he now faces a division full of top contenders eager to challenge him for the Heavyweight title.
