Nkosi Ndebele is ready to complete his rise to the top at BRAVE CF 73

Nkosi Ndebele’s entire career has led him to this point in time - and in the Colombian capital, he’ll attempt to finally reach the summit of the bantamweight division.

They call him ‘King’ and even though he’s only had seven professional fights since his debut in 2018, it’s not hard to see why. Nkosi Ndebele, who fights out of South Africa, began his journey in BRAVE on that night almost five years ago. While he may have suffered defeat in his second outing, he didn’t allow that to shake his confidence.

If anything, it spurred him on to be even greater. He’s since rattled off five straight wins and after having a meeting with Jose Torres get postponed on two previous occasions, he’s about as prepared as a human can be to go in there and compete for the 135-pound title.

One thing you can’t say about him, either, is that he’s a one trick pony. Ndebele has proven that he can knock his foes out on the feet with his four finishes serving as proof of that, alongside two decisions that highlight his ability to go the distance if necessary.

Beyond that, his pedigree is stellar. He’s an All-African gold medalist who was the best amateur fighter across the entire continent before going pro, working with one of the best teams in the region. It probably also helps that he doesn’t seem to feel any kind of pressure whatsoever.

He lives life one day at a time and takes everything in stride. He didn’t get here by accident, and his aim is to go out and prove that against one of the best in the business.

BRAVE CF 73 takes place on August 12, at the Coliseo El Salitre, in Bogota, Colombia. The main event of the evening will see the vacant Bantamweight World Title on the line as Jose “Shorty” Torres takes on Nkosi “The Future” Ndebele.
