New BRAVE CF champion Nemat Abdrashitov will not rest on his laurels, already thinking of first title defense

Oct 06, 2023

news

BRAVE CF Featherweight champion Nemat Abdrashitov is a man full of surprises. The Kyrgyz has always entered the BRAVE CF cage with a bag full of tricks, and his domination over former champion and Russia’s Roman Bogatov at BRAVE CF 72 proved how unpredictable he can be following his unanimous decision win. This kind of appeal makes the “Eagle” a unique player in the game as he keeps the BRAVE Nation fans on their toes.

Abdrashitov first showcased his edge in his BRAVE CF debut, where he was responsible for one of the biggest turnarounds in BRAVE CF history. At BRAVE CF 47, the man was close to being put to sleep via Anzor Abdulkhozhaev’s ninja choke before freeing himself and immediately knocking his opponent out cold in the second round of their Catchweight bout. That knockout would add to his seven knockouts and the fourteen stoppages he enjoys today.

The lethal striker then continued to haunt the division with stoppage wins over Alikhon Khasanov and Marcos Vinicius Costa, which helped cement his place as the biggest KO artist in BRAVE Combat Federation Featherweight division with three wins coming via KO/TKO.

After having the privilege of traveling with BRAVE CF to Bahrain and Uzbekistan and dominating all before him, Abdrashitov is now being recognized on the global stage as he inched closer to a title fight and a chance to become only the second Kyrgyz BRAVE CF world champion.

Earlier this year, his dream came true when it was announced that he would face the Featherweight king Bogatov for the title. It was a match-up dreams are made of as it had fans torn into the “grappler vs. striker” debate. It was also a bout that would oppose the relentless force that is Roman Bogatov’s cardio and wrestling and the raw power of Nemat Abdrashitov’s right hand. However, on the day at BRAVE CF 72, it was Abdrashitov - the finisher - who shook things up and flipped the script by outlasting the champion, widely expected to have the advantage in endurance.

On that special day in Riffa, Bahrain, Kyrgyzstan celebrated the rise of another BRAVE CF champion as the “Eagle” followed in the footsteps of his friend and training partner, Lightweight champion Abdisalam Kubanychbek. But his moment inside the cage was short-lived as Featherweight contender Omar Solomanov stepped into the BRAVE CF cage to face off with the new king.

While Abdrashitov is one for surprises, he was not too impressed and caught off guard by the Ukraine’s boldness as the former hardly had a chance to let his moment sink in. Solomanov had beaten Ilyar Askhanov at BRAVE CF 71 to earn the shot at the new champion, and these two will likely throw down this year to confirm who will head into 2024 with the golden strap over their shoulder.
