Muhammad Mokaev reflects on roller-coaster fight week, thanks opponent for accepting short-notice call

The much-awaited return of Muhammad Mokaev will happen at BRAVE CF 91 on Friday despite some last-minute hiccups. Mokaev is scheduled to be in action at the event, taking on Filipino MMA veteran Joevincent So in a 60 KG Catchweight bout.
Speaking at the BRAVE CF 91 press conference in Bahrain on Wednesday, Mokaev thanked Joevincent for accepting the fight on short notice while also addressing the numerous callouts he received.
“I would like to thank BRAVE CF, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Mohammed Shahid for welcoming me back. Secondly, I’m not surprised. A lot of people made callouts, but it all depends on who will turn up in the cage. Not many organizations can find opponents on the last day, but BRAVE CF did, and I really appreciate it. On Friday night, I’m coming for the finish,” Mokaev said.
Currently undefeated in his MMA career, Mokaev returns to the BRAVE CF cage after a three-year run outside the organization. During this period, he secured seven straight wins, proving himself as one of the best undefeated Flyweights in the world.
Meanwhile, Joevincent, who stepped up to face Mokaev on short-notice, stated that he has nothing to lose and everything to gain.
“I have nothing to lose, everything to win. I'll give Mokaev the most exciting fight of his career,” he said.
With a professional MMA record of 10 wins and five losses, Joevincent is a regional MMA champion and aims to capitalize on the opportunity presented to him at BRAVE CF 91.
Held as part of the BRAVE International Combat Week, BRAVE CF 91 will be headlined by the Bantamweight title fight between Nkosi Ndebele and Nicholas Hwende. The event will take place on December 13 at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, Bahrain.
