Muhammad Mokaev is back in BRAVE Combat Federation and he has a target painted on his back as Mokaev has received multiple callouts from fighters on the BRAVE CF roster.
Several notable names have expressed their desire to face Mokaev, including former Bantamweight champion Jose ‘Shorty’ Torres, Marciano Ferreira, Gerard Burns, and Bidzina Gavashelishvili.
Jose ‘Shorty’ Torres, who previously competed in the Flyweight division before moving up to Bantamweight and winning the title, has recently shown interest in returning to Flyweight. On his Instagram page, Torres mentioned that a fight with Mokaev "makes sense".
Following his impressive victory at BRAVE CF 84, Bidzina Gavashelishvili has also shown interest in welcoming Mokaev back to the Flyweight division. Gavashelishvili, currently on a two-fight winning streak, has solidified his position as a leading contender in the division which is yet to crown the inaugural champion.
Brazilian superstar Marciano Ferreira, who remains undefeated since 2022 and recently achieved a first-round stoppage against Edilceu Alves at BRAVE CF 78, has repeatedly contacted BRAVE CF President Mohammed Shahid, requesting a match with Mokaev when Gerard Burns has also expressed his willingness to challenge Mokaev. The Irish fighter is on a four-fight winning streak, with stoppage victories in his last two BRAVE CF appearances, which has boosted his position in the Flyweight division.
In addition to these challengers, the BRAVE CF Flyweight division is filled with talented fighters capable of providing Mokaev with a tough contest. Notable names include Combat Sambo Champion Velimurad Alkhasov, Brazilian standout Flavio de Queiroz, African star and Judo medallist Luthando Biko, and Russian veteran Ali Bagautinov, highlighting the division's depth and talent.
Interestingly, Mokaev's return has also attracted attention from recently-signed Turkish fighter Alperen Karabulut who even went so far as to create custom fight posters to challenge Mokaev.
Irrespective of where the BRAVE CF matchmakers decide to go, it would be safe to say that the whole world is waiting to know what would be next for Muhammad Mokaev when he steps into the cage at BRAVE CF 91 on December 13 in Bahrain.
The event will be held as part of the BRAVE International Combat Week which also features BRAVE CF 92 on December 15 and the IMMAF Youth Asian Championships.
