Filipino MMA veteran Joevincent So has stepped up on short notice to take on Muhammad Mokaev at BRAVE CF 91
The best undefeated Flyweight in the world, Muhammad Mokaev, has a new opponent for his return to BRAVE Combat Federation at BRAVE CF 91 on December 13. Luthando Biko, who was originally scheduled to face Mokaev, has withdrawn from the fight and stepping in on short notice is Filipino MMA champion Joevincent So. The fight will now take place at a catchweight of 59 kg.
A veteran in the sport, Joevincent has been active in MMA for nearly a decade, holding a record of 10 wins and five losses. Known for his ground game, with four wins by submission, he will be looking to become the first fighter to defeat Mokaev.
Mokaev, meanwhile, returns to the BRAVE CF cage following a seven-fight stint outside the organization. Undefeated in both his amateur and professional MMA careers, Mokaev began his professional MMA journey with BRAVE CF in 2020, where he fought five times before moving elsewhere.
Despite maintaining a perfect record during his seven-fight winning streak, Mokaev was released from his previous organization for unclear reasons. Now back in BRAVE CF, he looks to cement his reputation as the world’s top pound-for-pound fighter.
BRAVE CF 91 will take place at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Bahrain, headlined by the Bantamweight World Title fight between champion Nkosi Ndebele and challenger Nicholas Hwende. The event is part of BRAVE International Combat Week, which also includes BRAVE CF 92 on December 15.
