The legendary Youssef Boughanem is set to make his MMA return at BRAVE CF 90 in Austria, where he will face French MMA star Johan Van de Hel in a 72Kg Catchweight bout. The bout is part of a star-studded show in Vienna, which takes place on November 23, in association with leading Austrian organization Sparta CF.
Boughanem aims to continue the success of strikers in BRAVE Combat Federation and build on his victory at BRAVE CF 83 earlier this year. The former eight-promotion muay thai world champion made a strong promotional debut by defeating Saad Touijar in the second round at BRAVE CF 83 in the Netherlands, remaining undefeated in MMA.
With a mixed martial arts record of two wins and no losses, Boughanem now has another chance to prove his place in the MMA world as he competes in the historic event in Austria. Though he has finished both of his MMA opponents, Van de Hel presents a big challenge. The French fighter has competed in seven MMA bouts, over three times Boughanem’s experience, and is also active in Bare Knuckle Boxing, recently securing a knockout win in the sport.
Youssef Boughanem is widely recognized as one of the best non-thai muay thai and kickboxers of all time, with several accolades to his name. He made history earlier in his career, becoming the first non-thai fighter to win major titles in Thailand, and has 200 wins in muay thai competition.
A win over an experienced MMA opponent like Van de Hel would further solidify Boughanem's standing in MMA. Recently, other Kickboxing champions like Ilias Bulaid and Nabil Haryouli have also made their mark in the Global MMA scene with BRAVE Combat Federation, establishing BRAVE CF as a top destination for Striking world champions entering MMA.
The most global organization in MMA will be making its debut in Austria with BRAVE CF 90, which will serve as the extension of two world records. Austria becomes the 16th European nation to host BRAVE CF and the 35th overall, extending the company's leadership in both rankings.
