The BRAVE CF 83 fight card has undergone changes as Youssef Boughanem now has a new opponent
Striking superstar Youssef Boughanem has a new opponent for his BRAVE Combat Federation debut.
Youssef was originally scheduled to face Dutch star Anando Amoksi in a lightweight bout at BRAVE CF 83 on May 25 in the Netherlands. However, Amoksi has been forced to withdraw from the fight and will now be replaced by his fellow countryman, Saad Touijar. The fight between Youssef and Touijar will take place at 72kg catchweight.
Saad Touijar, fighting out of the Netherlands, is relatively new to the professional MMA circuit, much like Youssef. The Dutch fighter has competed only twice professionally but has an impressive amateur MMA record of seven wins and two losses. Notably, six of his seven victories came by stoppage, with four wins via submission.
Youssef, on the other hand, enters BRAVE CF 83 following his debut win in MMA earlier this year. The multiple-time Muay Thai World Champion secured a knockout victory in France a few months ago in his MMA debut and is eager to showcase his skills to MMA fans worldwide as he joins the most global MMA organization.
Despite the last-minute opponent change, the excitement surrounding Youssef's BRAVE CF debut is at an all-time high, with the combat sports world eagerly anticipating the fight.
The clash between Youssef and Touijar is set to be one of the major attractions of the historic BRAVE CF 83 fight card, which will be headlined by a Super Welterweight contest between former champion Marcin Bandel and European superstar Alex Lohoré. This event marks BRAVE Combat Federation’s debut in the Netherlands and is the third event of 2024 for the organization, following successful outings in Slovenia and Mauritius.
Other changes to the fight card include the signing of Zaka Fatullazade, who stands in for an injured Brice Picaud against Muhammad Idrisov, and the cancellation of the Nills Van Noord vs Guilherme Cadena fight, due to injury by Cadena.
