Mohsen Mohammadseifi and David Forster will collide at BRAVE CF 79 tonight - and as it turns out, their talents remind some of the beautiful game’s biggest stars.
On Friday night, Mohsen Mohammadseifi and David Forster will be part of the blockbuster BRAVE CF 79. The two men are expected to serve as one of the opening bouts in the Kingdom of Bahrain as they prepare to clash at 155 pounds.
As is the case with most fights during BRAVE International Combat Week, these men come from two very different backgrounds. Forster is an unbeaten Slovenian machine with two finishes and two decision wins, whereas Mohammadseifi is unbeaten in BRAVE Combat Federation with a three-fight win streak to his name.
Mohammadseifi hails from Iran, with one of his biggest entry points into MMA being Wushu. This is an art form that has been used a great deal across the history of mixed martial arts, and that’ll continue to be the case as this sport continues to grow.
In the eyes of BRAVE CF president Mohammed Shahid, his abilities draw comparisons to a certain Portuguese sensation.
Shahid: "Mohsen Mohammedseifi is the Cristiano Ronaldo of Wushu."
Forster: "If he is Ronaldo, I am [Lionel] Messi."
It’s quite the statement to make when you consider the unbelievable impact Cristiano Ronaldo has had on the football world. In equal measure, Forster ensured he didn’t get left behind, comparing himself to Lionel Messi - someone who is widely considered to be the greatest footballer of all time.
In the grand scheme of things, comments like this aren’t going to make a difference when the cage door shuts behind them. At the same time, it does highlight how highly thought of these two contenders are.
