Marina Spasic secured the biggest win of her MMA career by defeating Brazil's Maristela Alves at BRAVE CF 88 in Slovenia. Representing Serbia, Spasic entered the fight with an undefeated record, riding a five-fight win streak, and sought to make a strong impression on the global MMA stage through BRAVE Combat Federation.
Spasic's victory was hard-earned, as both fighters delivered an evenly contested battle throughout the first two rounds. However, Spasic demonstrated her dominance in the third round by landing powerful strikes, ultimately breaking Alves' nose and securing a stoppage victory. The fact that Alves was a more experienced opponent only added to the lustre of Spasic's win.
This win solidified Spasic’s arrival on the international MMA scene, highlighting why she is regarded as the top-ranked female MMA fighter in the Balkans. Having begun her professional career just three years ago, Spasic remains undefeated with six victories, five of which were finishes. Her fight against Alves was one of her toughest challenges to date, but she proved her ability to compete at the highest level.
Spasic's also holds a TKO victory over former BRAVE CF fighter Samin Kamal Beik, another notable finisher. With her successful BRAVE CF debut, Spasic now enters a competitive Strawweight division that also features Monika Ku?ini?, who has already made her mark as a top European female star. Additionally, Fabiola Pidroni, who also debuted at BRAVE CF 88, impressed in her performance against Ku?ini?, earning a performance bonus and with all these names, exciting times lie ahead for the BRAVE CF Strawweight division.
