Lutterbach sends message for Gustafsson ahead of BRAVE CF 70, calls out champions Eldarov and Bandel

Joilton “Peregrino” Lutterbach is known for being the “Heartbreak Kid” of BRAVE Combat Federation and plans on smashing the aura of his next opponent Andreas “Bane” Gustafsson Berg, when the two meet in their explosive Super Welterweight bout at BRAVE CF 70 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on April 23.

Germany’s Lutterbach entered BRAVE CF like a house on fire last year when he put the Super Lightweight division on notice after defeating number-one contender Marcel Grabinski via a first-round knockout before stopping the Moldovan express train in Mihail Cotruta at BRAVE CF 68, and has been preparing for his return with the likes of MMA legend Gegard Mousasi.

Lutterbach now moves up in weight to silence the KO machine that is Gustafsson Berg, who returns to BRAVE CF still riding high on his reputation of being one of the baddest men on the roster following his 2020 BRAVE CF “Fight of the Year” knockout over Serbia’s Miro Jurkovic at BRAVE CF 39.

With seven stoppages and five knockouts in nine fights, “Bane” is notoriously known for his ruthless front-foot approach, but “Peregrino” promises to break the hearts of millions of Swedish and international “Bane” fans come BRAVE CF 70 when the two compete in the co-main event.

“My opponent is a tough guy. Andreas is a good wrestler with heavy hands. I respect him a lot, but he is too crazy, and reckless. He leaves himself open for punches. You can see it in his last fight,” says Lutterbach referring to when Gustafsson fought the Czech Republic's David Hosek.

“Andreas is very aggressive, and even against normal guys, he got clipped. He cannot be this aggressive when facing me. I am a calculated fighter. He must understand that he has never fought someone on my level yet. I am more experienced, a better wrestler, I have a better ground game, and his stand-up cannot compare to mine,” says Lutterbach  - a six-promotion multi-division MMA champion with 37 wins and 27 knockouts.

“Yes, anything can happen in the BRAVE CF cage, but I take my fights very seriously. I will not be clumsy. I hope he does not make any mistakes. Mark my words if he approaches this fight in the same manner he fought Miro at BRAVE CF 39, then he is in trouble. I can guarantee that I will knock him out 100 percent. It’s not about being confident. It’s about the work I put in. I know who I am. I am technical, I fight calmly. I am a complete fighter. The numbers show who I am,” adds “Peregrino” a two-promotion K-1 champion with black belts in Judo, Luta Livre, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Following his wins over Grabinski and Cotruta, the number-one ranked Super Lightweight has been barking for a shot at undisputed 165-pound champion Eldar Eldarov. A win against the Swede, however, could open big doors for Lutterbach and draw the attention of BRAVE CF Super Welterweight champion Marcin Bandel, which leaves “Peregrino” with options and the man has intimated that a title run at 175 could be on the cards.

“I don’t want to call out Eldar (Eldarov) any longer. He is a good fighter, and I respect him. Yes, the first time I talked trash to promote the fight, but I don't want to continue with that. I know that he won’t fight me. I am in a different class now, my career is going up. I know he had injuries and will ask to fight at the end of the year, but I guarantee, come to the end of the year, he will say he got injured again or that he is struggling to make weight. I would rather like to challenge the Super Welterweight champion, Marcin Bandel. I also have a lot of respect for him. He has a great all-around game and good experience. I need to be ready for him. That will not be an easy fight, but I know I can take that title from him,” added Lutterbach.
