Lucas “Mineiro” Martins (now 21-6) wants no shortcuts as he looks to revive his BRAVE Combat Federation career. Following a difficult period that included three back-to-back losses and six fight cancellations, the former BRAVE CF Lightweight champion bounced back in incredible fashion with a fantastic technical knockout win over fellow Brazilian, the dangerous Henrique Marques (now 8-2) early in the first round of their BRAVE CF 60 Lightweight bout this past weekend in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The main event result was indeed a huge moment for Martins who has faced lots of adversity, almost falling from grace with all those defeats in recent years. Now, “Mineiro” is keen on showing the world why he is a true champion who has dominion over the BRAVE CF Lightweight.

“First of all, thank you to Brave Combat Federation for the opportunity. Out of the last fights I was scheduled to fight in, all of them were canceled. I know I came from three losses but with this win, you know where I belong and you know what I can do in this division … You know my level,” said Martins in his post-fight speech to the millions of BRAVE CF fans across the globe.

“Those who are with me, they know what I have been through, this fight was actually won way back, this right here was just fun. “I told BRAVE CF President, Mohammed Shahid that I know I can fight for the belt at Lightweight and at Super Lightweight, but I don’t want to do that now. I want to sweep the Lightweight division,” said Martins, who is keen on starting his run to the top with fights against Philippines’ Rolando Dy and Poland’s Maciej ‘’Magic Man’’ Gierszewski respectively.

“I know Rolando Dy has challenged me before. Let’s start with him. Is Magic Man available right now? Let’s go. I can be ready in six weeks’’.

“I want to fight and beat everybody in that division (Lightweight), then take that belt first,” concluded Martins.

BRAVE CF Lightweight champion, Egypt’s Ahmed Amir is set to defend his belt against the BRAVE CF interim 155 pound champion Kyrgyzstan’s Abdisalam Kubanychbek as the two will compete to unify the title.
