A new main event has been announced for BRAVE CF 74 as Lucas Martins will now take on Ylies Djiroun in the most global organization’s first-ever trip to France. On September 7, BRAVE CF lands in Nantes for a historic fight night in association with leading regional organization Hexagone MMA.
The former Lightweight world champion from Brazil was initially scheduled to face fellow ex-titleholder Amin Ayoub before the latter was forced to pull out. Ayoub has been replaced by Ylies Djiroun, who has been eager to fight for BRAVE CF at home after two fights in Bahrain and one in Belarus to kick off his promotional campaign.
The French sensation will serve as a familiar face to the BRAVE faithful, and holds a 2-1 record in that time. In his last outing back in June, he impressed many critics with a decision win over Olzhas Eskaraev.
Djiroun has 10 wins by submission, has never been submitted himself, and is a national Pancrase champion in his homeland.’’Tupek’’ hopes a victory over a former champion will land him a title shot against current 155-pound king Abdisalam Kubanychbek.
The former champ, meanwhile, will look to build from his latest impressive outing, as Martins knocked out compatriot Henrique Marques in the main event of BRAVE CF 60. Lucas has made no secret of his desire to once again hold BRAVE CF gold and a win over Djiroun could land him the big ticket against Kubanychbek,
BRAVE CF 74 takes place at the famous H Arena, in Nantes, on September 7, and will transform BRAVE Combat Federation in the sole record-holder for most countries visited by a mixed martial arts organization, as France becomes the 29th nation to host a BRAVE CF fight night.
