Brazil’s own Leonardo Mafra is going to stay with BRAVE Combat Federation for a long time.
“Macarrão”, as he’s also known as, is fighting under the Bahrain-based banner since early 2018 and extended his agreement for five more bouts, the fighter, and the promotion confirmed.
“I’m really happy to sign a new deal with BRAVE CF, the fastest-growing MMA promotion in the world. I’m going to return all the trust placed on me. Trust on my hard work and dedication. That’s what I’m working for”, he said.
“I’m sure I’m going to become the world champion at BRAVE CF representing Brazil”, he continued. “I’m coming off a win and building my way up to the title. If it’s up to me, it’ll be very, very soon. Thanks to everyone at BRAVE CF for trusting me!”.
On his first BRAVE CF bout, back in 2018, Mafra ended up losing to Gadzhimusa Gaziev after suffering a gruesome knee injury, which kept him sidelined for more than 12 months.
In his comeback fight, against Djamil Chan, the California-based, the veteran made his Super Lightweight debut and won via unanimous decision in his home country of Brazil.
Now, he looks forward to building his resume up at Super Lightweight once again, as he eyes a world title.
