The BRAVE CF 70 make-or-break Bantamweight clash between Izzedine Al-Derbani and Eduardo Mora is building up to be an epic bout as the two athletes got stuck into each other on social media ahead of their fight in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on April 23rd. Colombia’s wonderkid Mora posted a picturesque image of himself standing in a cave on the rocky Colombian coastline with a caption reading: “Ready, now to secure the victory. Colombia vs Jordan in Slovenia 23rd April, BRAVE CF 70.”
Al-Derbani complimented his upcoming opponent’s post stating it’s a “nice view” to which Mora responded, “I’ll have a better one when I crush you”.
The Jordanian superstar, known for getting riled up, then shifted into sixth gear, revealing how important it is that he makes a statement at BRAVE CF 70: “You are excited now, do not say words, it will cost you a lot. You will lose many of your bones in this fight, my dear. If you are a solid fighter, you will return to fighting after a year, at least. If not, you will retire.” Both athletes need a big win to prove their worth in the stacked BRAVE CF Bantamweight division.
Al-Derbani suffered his first loss in six fights in his BRAVE CF debut last year when the former Desert Force Featherweight interim champion recorded a defeat to Jose Torres at BRAVE CF 65. Eduardo Mora has his back to the wall after suffering back-to-back losses against South Africa’s Nkosi Ndebele and Hamza Kooheji, respectively. Prior to those defeats, Mora was unbeaten, with five wins dating back to 2018, and with BRAVE CF Colombia coming up this year, the three-time Amateur Colombian champion will need to secure a big win to book his slot on that card and maintain his spot in the BRAVE CF Bantamweight stable.
BRAVE CF 70 - co-promoted by leading regional organization WFC - will be the promotion’s second trip to the Central European nation in three years following BRAVE CF 34, which took place in January 2020. The main event will see one of Europe's biggest stars headline the card as Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Erko Jun faces Slovenia’s Marko Drmonjic in a Light Heavyweight bout while Torres and Ndebele will throw down for a potential shot at the Bantamweight title in the co-main event.
