All the pre-fight rituals are completed ahead of BRAVE CF 89, setting the stage for the historic event on Saturday, October 19, at Pabellon Santiago Martin in Tenerife, Spain.
Friday's weigh-ins saw all fighters making weight on their first attempt, followed by evening staredowns that set the tone for BRAVE CF's second event in Spain.
Ahead of the first-ever MMA world title fight on Spanish soil, Super Welterweight Champion Kamal Magomedov and challenger Luiz Cado faced off in a tense staredown, hinting at the intensity expected in the main event. Both fighters are undefeated in BRAVE Combat Federation, making this a high-stakes title clash.
The Irish fans created a lively atmosphere during the face-offs, showing strong support for Richie Smullen and Gerard Burns. Smullen, who will face Spanish MMA veteran Jose Sanchez in the co-main event, had the Irish crowd behind him, undeterred by the local Spanish support for Sanchez. The face-off between Burns and Santiago Paiva was one of the day's most intense moments, energized by the Irish presence.

Former Kickboxing World Champion Ilias Bulaid and Swiss MMA veteran Anthony Riggio also engaged in a tense staredown, building excitement for their fight. All other fighters had intense yet respectful face-offs, completing the fight week formalities and setting the stage for a memorable night on Saturday.
BRAVE CF 89 marks the ninth event of the year for BRAVE Combat Federation and concludes its "Around the World in 70 Days" tour, which included stops in China, Pakistan, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, and Slovenia.
