Historic title fight official for BRAVE CF 82 as Nkosi Ndebele and Jose ‘Shorty’ Torres make weight

Nkosi Ndebele vs. Jose ‘Shorty’ Torres is official with the Bantamweight world title on the line, as Karim Rabei misses weight
Challenger Torres comfortably made weight ahead of BRAVE CF 82
The stage is set for a historic moment in African MMA as both Nkosi Ndebele and Jose ‘Shorty’ Torres successfully weighed in for their Bantamweight World Title clash, scheduled to headline BRAVE CF 82 in Mauritius tomorrow, May 11.
Champion Nkosi came in at 61.15kg within the 61.2kg Bantamweight limit. Meanwhile, Torres stepped in at 61.05kg to make the first-ever trilogy in BRAVE Combat Federation official.
For the co-main event, both Nicholas Hwende and Khurshed Nazarov made weight for their Bantamweight showdown. Hwende weighed in at 61.4kg when Nazarov, who will be making his promotional debut at BRAVE CF 82, weighed in at 61.2kg.
The biggest shocker from the weigh-ins came due to Karim Rabei. The Algerian veteran came in at 82.85kg; almost three kilograms above the prescribed limit of 79.8kg for the Super Welterweight division. He will be required to give away 30% of his purse, as his opponent Eliezer Kubanza weighed in within the limit at 79.1kg.
Elsewhere, promotional debutants Ananias Mulumba and Prince Lolia of DR Congo made weights for their respective fights.
Mulumba, who takes on BRAVE CF Veteran Ylies Djiroun came in at 65.7kg. Djiroun weighed in at 66.1kg to make the Featherweight fight official. Lolia and Ramazan Gitinov weighed in below the Lightweight limit of 70.8kg by coming in at 69.8kg and 70.2kg respectively.
BRAVE CF 82 will be the debut event of BRAVE Combat Federation in Mauritius and will mark the fourth event for the organization in the African continent. This will also be the second event of the calendar year for BRAVE CF after a successful outing in Slovenia with BRAVE CF 81.
