BRAVE Combat Federation will make its highly anticipated debut in the Netherlands with BRAVE CF 83 on May 25. Held in association with Enfusion’s ECE MMA brand and headlined by the Super Welterweight showdown between former champion Marcin Bandel and European superstar Alex Lohoré, the event promises to be an exciting one for the fans and here are five reasons why you should tune in.
European record-breaking moment
BRAVE CF 83 will be a record-breaking affair for the most global MMA organization in the world. The Netherlands will be the 14th European nation to host a BRAVE CF event which in turn makes BRAVE Combat Federation the most hosted MMA organization in the European continent.
BRAVE CF previously held 24 events across Europe, spanning Northern Ireland, England, Romania, Slovenia, Sweden, Russia, Belarus, Italy, Poland, Serbia, Germany, France, and Spain, covering all regions of the continent.
BRAVE CF 83 will also cement BRAVE CF’s position as the most hosted MMA organization in the world as the Netherlands will be the 32nd host nation for BRAVE CF which is record unmatched by any other MMA promotion.
In addition to the historic event in the Netherlands, the organization has already announced debut events in two more European nations for 2024 with Croatia and Bulgaria scheduled to host BRAVE Combat Federation events later this year.
Youssef Boughanem enters the BRAVE CF cage
The biggest name in Kickboxing is set to enter the BRAVE CF cage at BRAVE CF 83. Youssef Boughanem, who has won almost all the titles in kickboxing and Muay Thai recently inked an exclusive MMA deal with BRAVE Combat Federation. He made his MMA debut earlier this year with a spectacular knockout win and will be looking to continue this run when he steps into the most global MMA organization in the world.
The fact that his entry into BRAVE CF happens in the Netherlands, a nation known for celebrating kickboxers adds an extra layer of excitement to the event. Youssef will be taking on hometown favourite Anando Amoksi which further raises the stakes for the fight.
Main event with title implications
The main event of BRAVE CF 83 will see a Super Welterweight clash between Marcin Bandel and Alex Lohoré. A former Super Welterweight champion, Bandel will be returning to action after his title loss to current champion Kamal Magomedov at BRAVE CF 77. The Polish superstar looks to reassert himself as a title challenger at BRAVE CF 83 and in his way would be European MMA superstar Alex Lohoré.
A five-time MMA champion outside of BRAVE Combat Federation, Lohoré will be eager to showcase his championship calibre in BRAVE CF when he goes up against a former champion. He will also be seen competing in the Super Welterweight division which is a luxury that he is not used to having as he was competing in the Welterweight and Middleweight divisions till now.
Champion Kamal Magomedov will be keeping a close eye on the showdown as it could determine the future of the Super Welterweight division.
Noach Blyden makes his global debut
Kickboxing superstar Noach Blyden will be making his BRAVE CF debut on May 25 when he takes on Oskar Herczyk in a Middleweight contest which will serve as the co-main event of BRAVE CF 83. Blyden was slated to fight Oskar's countryman Adrian Gralak, before ''Gralakomedov'' was forced to withdraw, giving way to Herczyk.
Undefeated in kickboxing, Blyden comes into BRAVE CF on the back of three back-to-back first-round finishes in MMA and will be looking to extend this run when he steps inside the BRAVE CF cage on May 25. Representing Suriname for the first time on the most global MMA organization in the world, Blyden is a TV personality and a promoter outside the cage and has the potential to shake up the BRAVE CF Middleweight division.
The combination of Kickboxing and MMA
