Lightweight prospect Sam Patterson is coming off a draw against Ahmed Amir and will have a new opportunity at BRAVE Combat Federation, this Friday, at BRAVE CF 33, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as he takes on Cian Cowley in the preliminary card. The Englishman is happy to be back fighting in a new territory and hopes to add Cowley to his list of beaten foes.
Patterson believes the three rounds against Amir at BRAVE CF 23 have given him the confidence that he can push the pace for 15 minutes, and will look to implement that against Cowley Friday night.
"That draw was good for me, obviously I want to have my hand raised always. Now, I have that mentality of not leaving it to the judges, push the pace. I have the cardio to back it up. I've always known that, but now I know I can push myself further and further", said Patterson, who is confident of knocking out Cowley.
"It's going to be a good fight for the fans. He's great at muay thai, but this is MMA. I'm going to show that I'm a complete martial artist. I'm going to finish that fight, I'm not leaving it to the judges anymore".
BRAVE CF 33 will be headlined by a pivotal Middleweight clash between Russian powerhouse Ikram Aliskerov and Swedish veteran Diego Gonzalez, with the winner being possibly in line to face newly-crowned inaugural divisional world champion Daniel Gaucho.
Several KO artists will also be in action. Aside from Patterson and Cowley, BRAVE CF 33 will be featuring the returns of Felipe Efrain, who meets Jeremy Pacatiw, and Rami Hamed, who welcomes Issa Isakov, among others.
