The two are preparing to meet in the Colombian capital and in doing so, they’ll open up the main card. It’s a classic tale of youth vs experience and although many feel as if they know which way this one is going to go, we’ve come to learn that you should always expect the unexpected at the elite level.
Eidy Macias of Ecuador understands that she has a long road ahead if she wants to get to the top - but so far, she’s off to a pretty good start. The youngster is undefeated with a five-fight win streak to her name, with one of her most notable attributes being how well-rounded she is across both her striking and ground game.
As for Yasmeli Araque, at the age of 38, she won’t come into this with any kind of fear or trepidation. Instead, she’ll want to showcase why she’s such a respected veteran, especially with her strong Sanda prowess and the kind of wrestling background that can cause anyone problems.
The rise of women’s mixed martial arts has been one of the great developments in the sport over the course of the last decade. As we look ahead to the future, BRAVE Combat Federation aims to serve as one of the guiding lights behind that movement.
BRAVE CF 73 takes place on August 12, at the Coliseo El Salitre, in Bogota, Colombia. The main event of the evening will see the vacant Bantamweight World Title on the line as Jose “Shorty” Torres takes on Nkosi “The Future” Ndebele.
