The bantamweight championship is on the line at BRAVE CF 73, but prior to that, we’ll see another tantalising clash at 135 pounds as Eduardo Mora goes head-to-head with Keron Bourne.
In a collision that many deem to be one of the most unpredictable on the card, Mora returns home to Bogota, Colombia, whereas Bourne will compete for BRAVE Combat Federation for the first time. The two men are expected to feature on the main card in the Colombian capital, and it’s not hard to understand why. This is a tale of retribution, battling against the odds, and making a statement - which is all we need to tell us that this is going to be an insane fight.
Eduardo Mora’s path has been an uncomfortable one as of late, with his last three BRAVE outings ending in defeat. While he may have fallen at the feet of some big names in the division, a loss is a loss, and this could serve as Eduardo’s final chance to really announce his contendership to the BRAVE faithful.
On the flip side, Keron Bourne is a completely unknown entity. He’s undefeated in his professional mixed martial arts career, but after four years away from the spotlight, nobody knows what to expect. Given how disciplined and determined he’s been from a young age, it seems safe to say that he’ll leave everything he’s got on the canvas.
The sambo prowess of Mora is something he’ll look to lean on with the hope being that he can wear his opponent down and eventually gas him out. As for Bourne, we’re talking about a man who has finished 71% of his victories - aka five of seven - by KO or TKO. If that isn’t enough of an incentive to stick around, nothing is.
