Undefeated Bahraini superstar Rasul Magomedov delivered another dominant performance at BRAVE CF 87 in the Netherlands, securing a first-round victory over Brazilian veteran Pablo Benaion.
Rasul was dominant from the start of the fight and landed some vicious elbows on Pablo which forced the referee to step in and stop the fight. The win not only extended his winning streak in professional MMA but also established him as a top contender in the Light Heavyweight division.
Magomedov, who was a top-ranked Heavyweight in the amateur circuit with several IMMAF medals, has been unstoppable since transitioning to the professional MMA circuit. He made his professional debut at BRAVE CF 72 at Light Heavyweight, where he defeated Mohamed Hisham Baraka, followed by another first-round victory over Mohamed Laid in the division at BRAVE CF 79.
With his recent first-round win over Pablo Benaion, Magomedov improved his professional record to 6-0 and solidified his position as a top contender in a Light Heavyweight division that will crown a new champion at BRAVE CF 88 in Slovenia, where Erko Jun will face Alexander Wesner in the main event for the title.
While everyone is taking notice, BRAVE Combat Federation president Mohammed Shahid has also acknowledged the rise of Magomedov and tagged him as one of the best Light Heavyweight fighters out there.
''Rasul Magomedov has proved to be one of the best Light Heavyweights in the world with that performance. He's a wrestling and combat sambo monster, an IMMAF Heavyweight world champion and now undefeated as a professional at 205. He's the present AND the future of the division” Mohammed Shahid noted.
Having finished all his professional fights so far, Magomedov is indeed a fighter to watch out and with the upcoming championship bout at BRAVE CF 88, the Light Heavyweight division is set for exciting times, with Magomedov, former title challenger Mohamed Said Maalem, and former champion Mohammed Fakhreddine all in contention, even though the Bahraini rising star might just have jumped the line.
