Irishman Cian Cowley has a chance to bounce back from two straight defeats as he will look to get back to his KO-winning ways in Saudi Arabia. "The Warrior" is scheduled to make his much-anticipated comeback at BRAVE CF 33, which takes place in Jeddah, on December 27th. He takes on Sam Patterson, from England, in a Lightweight bout, BRAVE Combat Federation officials have confirmed today.
Cowley was on the verge of breaking in the top-5 of BRAVE CF's Lightweight division with two straight TKO victories in his two first bouts for the promotion. Cian beat Daniel Olejniczak and Hardeep Rai to set up an encounter with fellow top prospect John Brewin. Both men had a three-round war, where the Kiwi fighter went out on top in the Philippines, at BRAVE CF 22.
The Irishman then lost his second in a row in a surprising vicious KO loss to Maciej Gierszewski and will look to bounce back against Patterson, who's coming off a draw against Ahmed Amir, at BRAVE CF 23. Before that, "The Future" had three straight wins, after losing in his BRAVE CF debut against Hardeep Rai.
BRAVE CF 33 marks the second time the fastest-growing MMA organization in the world will host an event in Saudi Arabia. The end-of-year extravaganza will close out BRAVE CF's "Month of Madness", with three events in three different parts of the world, starting with last week's BRAVE CF 31 in South Africa and going through to next Saturday's BRAVE CF 32, which takes place in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
