Champ Eldar Eldarov and Alexander Shabliy campaigning for a fight at next BRAVE CF event in Russia

BRAVE Combat Federation is returning to Russia at the end of 2021 and the first candidates are starting to pop up asking for a spot in the card. The Super Lightweight champion of the world Eldar Eldarov took the stage and started campaigning for yet another fight in the country where he was born.
It all started with an interview of Russia’s Alexander Shabliy to the Russian media. He met Eldarov on the occasion and shared the news on his official Instagram page.
“I visited Alexey Makhno and Azamat Bostanov in Moscow, talked about fighting Eldar Eldarov and discussed the possibility of holding a joint BRAVE CF event in association with ProFC in (my home town of) Rostov”, he said, alongside a video in which he appears alongside Eldarov inside a cage.
Eldar’s reply didn’t take long. The champ offered his own report on the meeting. “I was invited to the podcast alongside Makhno and Bostanov and we discussed a potential fight against Alexander Shabliy. We made a verbal agreement in the studio that if he’s not on the Bellator card in Moscow he’ll fight me at the BRAVE CF/ProFC co-promotion in Rostov. Despite there being a lot of things in his favor, as Rostov is his hometown, this won’t stop me. The main question is the weight class, which everyone is very worried about. But there’s no reason for it, there’s plenty of time”, Eldarov wrote.
The inaugural Super Lightweight champion went further and put pressure on Shabliy to sign the deal. “You say you’re interested in fighting me but I didn’t see the fire in your eyes. If you really want this fight, it’s time to move from words to deeds. The question is if you really want it. The only thing left to find out is how interesting our fight is to the public. What do you say, friends?”, Eldar asked in a follow-up social media post.
