In celebration of International Women’s Day 2025, BRAVE Combat Federation proudly joins the global community in honoring the achievements of women across all spheres, particularly in combat sports. Under this year’s organizational theme, ‘The Year of the BRAVE,’ BRAVE CF amplifies its commitment to fostering inclusion, diversity, and empowerment for women both inside and outside the cage. International Women’s Day is a moment to reflect on progress, celebrate resilience, and spotlight those who break barriers. At BRAVE CF, women have not only competed with courage but have also led with vision. From athletes to executives, their contributions continue to redefine what it means to be BRAVE.

Valeria Lang, Chief Operating Officer of BRAVE CF, exemplifies leadership in a traditionally male-dominated industry. A lifelong martial arts enthusiast and a pioneer in sports management, Lang has transformed corporate culture within combat sports by championing gender diversity. “Our mission at BRAVE CF is to create opportunities for everyone—regardless of gender—to excel. Women are integral to our success and symbolize the essence of bravery,” Ms. Lang stated.

This ethos extends beyond leadership roles. Recently, Vanessa Campos played a pivotal role in hosting the media day for BRAVE CF 94 in Slovenia, showcasing her expertise and professionalism. Additionally, BRAVE CF has featured a woman cutman and female referees, including a historic moment at BRAVE CF 73, where a female referee became the first woman to oversee a main event in the promotion. These milestones highlight the growing inclusion of women in operational roles traditionally reserved for men, demonstrating BRAVE CF's commitment to diversity and inspiring aspiring women to pursue careers in MMA event operations.

Inside the cage, women fighters have consistently demonstrated grit and determination. Athletes like Luana Pinheiro, who became the first female fighter with two victories under BRAVE CF’s banner, have paved the way for a new wave of talented fighters, including Sabrina, Monika, Suchika, and many more. Their performances inspire not just fans but also young girls worldwide who dream of stepping into the cage. These fighters embody more than physical strength—they represent resilience and empowerment. Their stories resonate far beyond fight nights, proving that bravery is not confined to competition but extends into everyday life as they balance careers, families, and advocacy work.

BRAVE CF also recognizes the growing interest and engagement of women in MMA as spectators. The sport has seen a significant increase in female fans, who are drawn to the skill, strategy, and athleticism displayed in the cage. By promoting events that appeal to a diverse audience, BRAVE CF continues to break down barriers and foster a more inclusive environment for all fans.

Aligned with this year’s global International Women’s Day theme, ‘Accelerate Action,’ BRAVE CF continues its mission to dismantle systemic barriers for women in sports and beyond. By fostering an inclusive environment where talent is recognized regardless of gender, BRAVE CF sets a new benchmark for equality in MMA and inspires other organizations to follow suit.

As BRAVE CF expands globally in 2025 with events across continents—including Switzerland, China, Slovenia, and Bulgaria—the organization reaffirms its commitment to empowering women at every level. From fighters to executives like Valeria Lang and operational pioneers, women are at the heart of this year’s ‘Year of the BRAVE’ theme.

On this International Women’s Day, BRAVE Combat Federation salutes all women who exemplify courage and strength—whether they are fighting in the cage or fighting for equality in their communities. Together, we celebrate their achievements and commit to accelerating action toward a more inclusive future.
