BRAVE Combat Federation Celebrates Serbia: A Powerhouse in the Global MMA Landscape
Serbia celebrates its National Day, and the most global MMA organization in the world, BRAVE Combat Federation, is honouring the occasion by highlighting its continued impact on the nation’s MMA ecosystem.
Currently, BRAVE Combat Federation holds the record for being the most hosted MMA organization in Europe, having hosted events in 16 European nations. One of BRAVE CF's biggest success stories in Europe has been Serbia. Since the organization's debut in the country in 2021, BRAVE CF has been at the forefront of elevating the Serbian MMA scene.
BRAVE CF’s first event in Serbia, BRAVE CF 56, was a ground-breaking showcase that featured top MMA talent from around the world. Two years later, in 2023, BRAVE CF returned with BRAVE CF 69, headlined by a Lightweight World Title fight. By bringing an MMA World Title fight to Serbian soil, BRAVE CF positioned the country as a top destination for MMA events.
The event was part of BRAVE International Combat Week, and by hosting such a major spectacle in Serbia, BRAVE Combat Federation not only set new benchmarks for MMA events in Europe but also shattered attendance records, as more than 20,000 fans packed Stark Arena to witness the action.
While organizing world-class events in Serbia is one pillar of BRAVE CF’s commitment to the nation, the other lies in providing Serbian fighters with a global platform to showcase their skills. Fighters like Darko Stoši?, Slobodan Maksimovi?, and Borislav Nikoli? have thrived thanks to BRAVE CF’s opportunities. Now, with Nikoli? set to fight for the Bantamweight World Title in 2025, it marks a historic moment for Serbian MMA.
From a broadcast perspective, BRAVE CF’s partnership with Arena Channel has made world-class MMA action accessible to fans across the Balkans. This exposure has been crucial in enhancing the overall fan experience.
"Our partnership with Arena Channel and the success of our events in Serbia demonstrate our dedication to developing MMA in the region. As we embrace the 'Year of the BRAVE' in 2025, we're excited to showcase the exceptional talent and fighting spirit of Serbian athletes, further solidifying Serbia's position in the global MMA landscape," BRAVE CF President Mohammed Shahid stated.
As BRAVE Combat Federation continues its European expansion in 2025, Serbia remains a key part of the movement, establishing itself as a premier destination for MMA growth on the continent.
