BRAVE Combat Federation Announces Bantamweight Title Fight as Co-Main Event for Slovenia Return

BRAVE Combat Federation is set to return to Slovenia on June 7, and the organization has revealed that a Bantamweight World Title fight between newly crowned champion Nicholas Hwende and Serbian contender Borislav Nikolic will serve as the co-main event of the night.
Nicholas Hwende captured the Bantamweight title from Nkosi Ndebele at BRAVE CF 91 last year and will be looking to secure his first title defense when he enters the cage in Slovenia. The Zimbabwean is riding a three-fight winning streak and secured two major victories in the previous year, including his title win over Ndebele.
Hwende entered BRAVE CF in 2023 with an undefeated professional MMA record but suffered a setback when he lost to Velimurad Alkhasov at BRAVE CF 71. However, the African star showed character, bouncing back from the loss to secure three consecutive wins and claim the title.
Meanwhile, Borislav Nikolic is also on a three-fight winning streak. He was last seen inside the BRAVE CF cage at BRAVE CF 84 in China last year, where he stopped Chinese superstar Eqiyuebu in the first round.
Prior to this, Borislav also secured a first-round stoppage victory over Ali Guliev at BRAVE CF 74. Riding the momentum of these two wins, he earned a second-round submission victory outside BRAVE CF and now looks to dethrone Hwende in the Bantamweight division.
BRAVE CF's upcoming event in Slovenia will be held as part of the "Year of the BRAVE", in association with leading local promotion WFC, in Ljubljana, Slovenia. It follows two record-breaking events in the country in 2024. Along with the co-main event title fight, the card is expected to feature top MMA talent from around the world, alongside Slovenian superstars, making it a must-watch event for MMA fans globally.
