BRAVE CF’s Flyweight Division: The Most Stacked in the World Enters a Defining Chapter

The Flyweight division in BRAVE Combat Federation isn’t just alive and thriving—it’s exploding with talent, tension, and tantalizing matchups. As the global MMA landscape continues to evolve, one thing is certain: no promotion boasts a deeper or more dynamic roster at 125 pounds than BRAVE CF.

And the next few weeks could reshape the division entirely.

At BRAVE CF 95, former Bantamweight world champion Jose "Shorty" Torres returns to Flyweight for the first time in five years, against Dias Yerengaipov, a dangerous and rapidly rising contender from Kazakhstan. A win for Torres would further cement his legacy in BRAVE CF, but all eyes may already be shifting to the potential super-fight that fans can’t stop dreaming about: Jose Torres vs. Muhammad Mokaev for the vacant BRAVE CF Flyweight World Championship.

The undefeated #1 ranked BRAVE CF flyweight Mokaev has long been linked with a showdown with KHK MMA teammate Torres. He’s rumored to be in attendance at BRAVE CF 95, cornering his teammate Ramazan Gitinov, but many believe he’ll also be scouting his next potential opponent. A showdown between Mokaev and Torres would be a battle of generations—and a stylistic clash the flyweight division has never seen before on such a global stage. However, Dias Yerengaipov may yet throw his name into the hat with a win here, and also stake his claim to the biggest fight in the division.

But the drama doesn’t stop there.

Just one week later at BRAVE CF 96 in Slovenia, Bidzina Gavashelishvili squares off with Brazilian powerhouse Marciano Ferreira in another clash with huge stakes. Gavashelishvili, a Georgian jiu-jitsu expert, has quietly built momentum in the division, while Ferreira's aggressive finishing style makes him one of the most feared names in the weight class.

Then, looking ahead to July, Gerard Burns and Alperen Karabulut—two men who have both exchanged verbal shots with Mokaev in the past—will collide in a grudge match that could steal the show. Their fight doesn’t just have rankings implications—it adds fuel to the fire of the broader rivalry surrounding the division's biggest names.

With all this action packed into just a few months, it’s no exaggeration to say that BRAVE CF has the most stacked, global, and intriguing flyweight division in the world today. From former world champions to rising stars, heated rivalries to long-anticipated dream fights—every corner of the 125-pound picture is filled with possibilities.

And with the world watching, the Flyweight crown has never carried more weight.
