BRAVE CF re-signs Arab legend and World Champion Jarrah Al-Selawe to new multi-fight deal

Arguably the most popular and dominant Middle Eastern fighter in the world has extended his deal with BRAVE Combat Federation. Jordan’s Jarrah Al-Selawe reached an agreement with the Bahrain-based promotion and signed a new multi-fight contract.

A long-time veteran of BRAVE CF, the current Welterweight World Champion arrived at the truly global organization back in December of 2016, making his debut at BRAVE CF 2, in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

After submitting Sweden’s Eric Carlsson, Jarrah kept rising through the ranks of BRAVE CF’s Welterweight division by defeating Daniele Scatizzi and Carl Booth via unanimous decision in 2017.

The year of 2018 marked his definitive arrival to the top of the Welterweight division. The Jordanian Lion submitted France’s David Bear with only three seconds left on the clock in front of his home crowd and less than two months later beat Bear’s teammate Tahar Hadbi in a title eliminator bout in Indonesia.

At BRAVE CF 16, in Abu Dhabi, Al-Selawe knocked out the incumbent champion Carlston Harris and captured Welterweight gold, becoming the first Jordanian athlete to become a world champion in MMA.

2019 was the year of the rivalry between Jarrah Al Silawi and Abdoul Abdouraguimov. The French-Russian grappler went all the way to Jordan and got a razor-thin split decision over the hometown hero.

As he’d done twice before in his career, against Carl Booth and Mohammed Fakhreddine, Jarrah Al-Selawe bounced back and avenged his loss. It took him six months to do so, and at BRAVE CF 27, back in September, Jarrah won via technical knockout after four rounds, once again in Abu Dhabi, where he first got his title a year prior.

Now eager for his next challenge and ready to cement his position as the best Welterweight in the world, regardless of promotion or nationality, Al-Selawe is waiting for the likes of Abdoul Abdouraguimov, Kevin Ruart, and Louis Glismann, all vying for a chance at the belt.
