BRAVE CF President Mohammed Shahid Receives Times of Bahrain Sports Icon Award 2024

His Excellency Ahmed Bin Salman Al Musallam presented Mohmmed Shahid with the TOB Sports Icon Award
BRAVE Combat Federation President Mohammed Shahid has been honoured with the prestigious Times of Bahrain Sports Icon Award for 2024. The prestigious award, presented by the Times of Bahrain Media Group, acknowledges Mohammed Shahid’s exceptional representation of Bahrain in the global sporting arena.
Under the visionary leadership of His Highness Shaikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Mohammed Shahid has been spearheading the KHK MMA movement and BRAVE Combat Federation for nearly a decade now. Established in 2016, BRAVE Combat Federation has become the most global MMA organization, hosting events in 32 countries—an unmatched record in the industry.
In addition to BRAVE CF's global success which has showcased Bahrain's prominence in the sports world, Mohammed Shahid has played a crucial role in promoting MMA worldwide. His efforts have brought the sport to new regions previously untouched by other global MMA organizations, in line with the vision of His Highness Shaikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The KHK MMA movement has also elevated the sport of MMA in Bahrain, evident from the success of Bahraini athletes at IMMAF events, including Bahrain’s MMA Super Cup victory in 2022.
“We are excited to share that the Sports Icon Award has been bestowed upon Mr. Shahid for his remarkable representation of Bahrain in MMA competitions globally. This prestigious honour recognizes his significant contributions to the world sports sector,” The Times of Bahrain Media Group stated in an official statement on their social media pages.
The award is part of the Times of Bahrain Media Group's celebration of its five-year milestone. The group is recognizing fifty-two individuals, both local and international, for their exceptional achievements across various fields, including social, cultural, educational, arts, and sports.
