BRAVE CF president announces winner of Bagautinov vs Lichkovakha will enter Flyweight Tournament
The co-main event of BRAVE CF 46 is one of the most exciting fights of a historic night in Russia. Veteran Ali Bagautinov returns to the cage to face a young and hungry compatriot in Oleg Lichkovakha. As exciting of a match up as it is, the stakes just got higher for the bout as BRAVE CF President Mohammed Shahid just announced that the winner will enter the BRAVE CF Flyweight tournament.
The Flyweight tournament has delivered immense entertainment in 2020 with spectacular showings by some of the top Flyweights in the world. The new year is expected to deliver the best of the tournament, especially after this latest announcement concerning Bagautinov and Lichkovakha who will square off this Saturday.
The BRAVE CF President was full of praises for both the athletes and predicted a thrilling continuation of the Flyweight tournament. ‘’This co-main event for BRAVE CF 46 has a lot more on the line now. Ali Bagautinov vs Oleg Lichkovakha are two of the best Flyweights in the world, and they’re going against each other this Saturday. I was looking at how hungry this boys are and I saw both these guys looking at their best shape and putting everything they have in this preparation" Shahid said
"The winner without a doubt deserves a spot on the BRAVE CF Flyweight tournament, the biggest grand-prix the sport has ever seen for the weight-class. And I am going to put this promise as the title for this fight. Ali is a legend of MMA in Russia and deserves the spot if he goes past a young, hungry and very talented contender in Oleg. I can’t wait to see this fight, I am sure both of these guys want that shot to be known as the best flyweight in the world.’’ he said.
BRAVE CF 46 takes place on January 16, in Sochi, Russia, in association with Krepost Selection. The event is headlined by the Super Lightweight champion Eldar Eldarov's title bout against challenger Leonardo Mafra.
