BRAVE CF 91 marked BRAVE Combat Federation’s return to the Kingdom of Bahrain after a historic year around the world and the fight night delivered big-time as advertised.

The Light Heavyweight Super Fight between Ubaidula Tagirov and Abdelliah Azzouzi ended quickly as Tagirov submitted Azzouzi in the first round. After an initial exchange, Tagirov secured a takedown and locked in the submission, forcing Azzouzi to tap.

In the main event, Nicholas Hwende delivered a memorable performance against Nkosi Ndebele to capture the BRAVE CF Bantamweight title. Hwende and Ndebele went the full five rounds in an action-packed fight, with Hwende outclassing his South African counterpart. Hwende effectively neutralized Ndebele’s reach advantage with his grappling skills. In the final round, Hwende bloodied Ndebele and dominated on the ground to cap off his impressive performance. All three judges scored the fight in favor of Hwende, awarding him a unanimous decision victory and the BRAVE CF Bantamweight title.

The Pride of Bahrain, Hamza Kooheji, picked up where he left off two years ago by dominating Alperen Karabulut in the co-main event before securing a second-round stoppage victory. Kooheji’s wrestling proved to be the key difference, leaving no room for Alperen to mount any offense. With the win, Kooheji extended his winning streak to three fights and announced his return to the BRAVE CF cage in style.

The best undefeated Flyweight in the world Muhammad Mokaev, returned to the BRAVE Combat Federation cage with a quick first-round submission win against Filipino MMA veteran Joevincent So. Mokaev hunted for the finish from the opening bell, and once he secured the takedown, the submission came easily for the former IMMAF World Champion. With this victory, Mokaev improved his record to 13 wins and no losses, remaining undefeated.

Dias Erengaipov made a strong first impression in his promotional debut, dominating Marciano Ferreira over three rounds to secure a unanimous decision victory. Dias’s wrestling overwhelmed Ferreira, who was completely outclassed by the Kazakh fighter. With the win, Dias extended his winning streak to seven fights and established himself as a contender in BRAVE CF’s stacked Flyweight division.

For the first time in his professional MMA career, Eliezer Kubanza went the distance, earning a decision win over Zagid Gaidarov. The fight, filled with action, showcased Kubanza’s improved wrestling as he landed takedowns against Zagid, a Combat Sambo champion. Zagid had his moments, landing some heavy shots, but Kubanza’s performance stood out as all three judges awarded him the win. With the win, Kubanza remained undefeated in his professional career and called for a title shot.

The greatest amateur female fighter of all time, Sabrina De Souza, continued her dominance in the professional ranks with a submission win over Filipino veteran Mariane Mariano. Sabrina controlled the fight from the opening bell, showcasing her world-class striking and grappling skills before securing the submission in the third round, keeping her perfect professional record intact.

Mohammed Alsameea returned to the win column with a highlight-reel knockout against Salah Walid in the Flyweight division. The Bahraini rising star dropped Walid with a knee in the second round, bouncing back strongly from his loss at BRAVE CF 84 earlier this year.

Bahrain’s Hussain Al Kurdi made a memorable professional MMA debut by stopping Egypt’s Seif Shawki. Shawki displayed heart throughout the fight, surviving Hussain’s relentless onslaught. However, in the third round, Hussain landed a powerful knee that dropped Shawki, forcing the referee to step in.

In the opening bout of the night, Kantemir Shibzukhov earned a decision win against Adam Khalilov after three hard-fought rounds.

BRAVE CF 91 was the eleventh event of the year for BRAVE Combat Federation and next, the organization will host BRAVE CF 92 on December 15 in Bahrain, concluding a historic 2024.
