BRAVE CF 79 fighters face off in final showdown before fight night

Dec 08, 2023

news

With the world watching, BRAVE CF 79 will emanate from the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, Bahrain. The nation is playing host to a variety of incredible events as part of BRAVE International Combat Week, and BRAVE CF 79 is the latest stop on that train.

On Thursday morning, every single athlete who is scheduled to compete on the card was able to successfully weigh-in ahead of their bouts tomorrow. Then, just a matter of hours later, they stood head-to-head in a series of intense encounters with pressure levels being at an all-time high.

From lightweight all the way up to heavyweight, there are some imposing figures that will be competing in the Kingdom of Bahrain. These eight face-offs highlighted the stakes involved in every single contest that we’re set to see and, in many ways, gave us a glimpse into the mindset of these elite fighters.

From the word go, things were heating up as Dzhokhar Duraev and Chequina Noso Pedro locked eyes. Duraev held his fist up to the head of Pedro, but he refused to back away.

Later down the card, Eliezer Kubanza and Adel Ibrahim had the chance to weigh each other up just 24 hours before their collision. On both occasions that they’ve faced off, the intensity has been felt by everyone in the arena - with that being reiterated by Ibrahim’s comments backstage in the aftermath.

“I swear to God! My f***ing life, I fight for my f***ing family. Nobody can stop me. Remember this!”

We then come to the main event of the evening: Tahar Hadbi and Ismael Naurdiev. These two behemoths spent so much time staring each other down that officials had to intervene because of just how long it went on.

Make sure you tune in on Friday because if this is anything to go by, things are going to get explosive.
