BRAVE CF 77 Face Offs heated up; Egypt vs Ukraine rivalry begins!

Dec 05, 2023

news

BRAVE® Combat Federation returns to the Kingdom of Bahrain on 5 December 2023 hosting BRAVE CF 77 at the Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town, Bahrain. Tense moments prevailed between Mohamed Maysara from Egypt and Vitalii Yakymenko from Ukraine. Officials were forced to intervene as the fighters went for each other amidst tense moments. Maysara is undefeated in his career spanning 8 fights while Yakymenko is on 4 fight winning streak.

The face-offs took place with global athletes representing their national heritage and showcasing their vibrant cultural identities as a prelude to the fight night that features athletes from 10 nations (Kyrgyzstan, Brazil, Poland, Russia, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Ukraine, Zimbabwe, Tajikistan, and Slovenia), showcasing a mix of established superstars and rising prospects.

Apart from that, the competitors displayed a show of respect and solidarity towards each other as they prepared for the fight. Two titles will be defended during BRAVE 77, with the main event featuring the showdown between the champion, Abdisalam Uulu Kubanychbek from Kyrgyzstan, defending his title for the first time against Lucas Martins from Brazil for the lightweight world championship. Since Martins has missed weight, in case of a win, the title will not change hands. The co-main event features the super welterweight world championship fight between the reigning champion Marcin Bandel and Kamal Magomedov.

Yet another major fight will be the debut of the giant from Slovenia, Haris Aksalic, who is set to make his professional MMA debut at BRAVE CF 77. Aksalic made waves with the latest comparison of him with Brock Lesnar. He will take on Eid Amer, the Egyptian K1 and Kickboxing Champion, who boasts an impressive record of 21 stoppage wins in Kickboxing.

With 70% of the fighters on impressive win streaks, the event marks the 8th time in BRAVE CF history that two or more world titles are on the line during the same event. The show also features the return of three promising superstars in their respective divisions – Maysara Mohammed (Flyweight), Vitaliy Yakimenko (Flyweight), and Abusupyan Alikhanov (Middleweight).

Out of 12 fighters added to the show, five of them have undefeated BRAVE CF records - Abdisalam Kubanychbek, Marcin Bandel, Kamal Magomedov, Maysara Mohamed, and Vitaliy Yakimenko.
