Tae Kyun Kim and Roman Bogatov have surpassed the final hurdle before they meet in the BRAVE CF Arena for this Saturday’s main event at BRAVE CF 64. Both men will fight for the vacant Featherweight world title thus needed to step in the scales at 145lbs (65,8kg) or below, with no pound allowance available for title fights.
Kim came in first and weighed in easily at 65,6kg. Bogatov struggled a bit more, eventually needing a towel to also successfully make weight, at 65,8kg, making the title fight official.
It was touch and go for Matiss Zaharovs, who showed up more than an hour into the official weigh-ins, but the Irish-Latvian star made weight at 61,6kg for his proposed bout against Nkosi Ndebele (61,5kg) in the Bantamweight division.
Other than Matiss, no other surprises, as athletes stepped in the scale within the first 15 minutes of the two-hour window ahead of tomorrow’s event, which also features Mzwandile Hlongwa vs Abusupyan Alikhanov in the Middleweight division; a Super Welterweight bout between Brendan Lesar and Zagid Gaidarov, as well as an Amateur Light Heavyweight encounter between Israel Mano and Remy Serge.
