With the BRAVE CF Super Welter and Bantamweight titles on offer at BRAVE CF 63, which goes down this Wednesday in Bahrain, the first installment of the iconic BRAVE CF Kombat Kingdom series promises to be an absolute banger.
Outside of the title fights, however, BRAVE Nation has plenty of world-class MMA action to look forward to in the first of three events making up the latest Kombat Kingdom series.
Below find three fighters to watch out for outside the title fights!
-
BRAVE CF Super Welterweight: Kamal Magomedov (#4) (9-0 MMA, 1-0 BRAVE CF)
The third fight in the BRAVE CF 63 card sees number-four ranked Super Welterweight, Russia’s Kamal Magomedov take on the number-five ranked Finn, Olli Santalahti in a potential number-one contender fight. Kamal has earned the respect of many international fighters and is tipped to become a world champion soon.
He remains unbeaten in his professional career and he showed his intent in his BRAVE CF debut when he quickly submitted fellow countryman, Vitaly Tverdokhlebo via a devastating armbar in the first round of their BRAVE CF 55 fight.
The former Titan FC Welterweight champion is an absolute terror sporting a 100-percent finish record with three KO/TKOs and six submissions - all of which have come in the first round of every fight.
The BRAVE CF Featherweight division is home to a very special talent who is slowly growing in confidence. Kyrgyzstan’s number-five ranked BRAVE CF Featherweight, Nemat ‘Eagle’ Abdrashitov returns to the BRAVE CF cage to face Brazil’s Marcos Vinicius Costa. Abdrashitov is riding a five-fight win streak. He comes off the back of a first round knockout win over Uzbekistan’s Alikhon Khasanov at BRAVE CF 59 earlier this year.
However, it was Eagle’s BRAVE CF debut that really got everybody’s attention when he turned an almost certain loss into an extraordinary win over Russia’s Anzor Abdulkhozhaev at BRAVE CF 47 last year. In the second round of their fight, Abdulkhozhaev had managed to lock in a deep ninja choke that had the referee pay close attention to Abdrashitov’s body language as he seemed to be moments away from either tapping or going to sleep. Shortly after, Nemat transitioned beautifully to escape the hold, before rocking and dropping his opponent, turning his fortune around with a huge KO win.
It was also the first time Abdulkhozhaev got KO’d, adding a huge feather to Abdrashitov’s cap. The Combat Sambo student has made a huge impression on the BRAVE CF fans with two finishes in as many fights, and this week, at BRAVE CF 63, he aims to further climb the rankings and work his way closer to a title fight.
Catchweight 77kg: Abbas Khan (3-1 MMA, 1-1 BRAVE CF)
Abbas Khan is not your typical KHK Team Bahrain fighter. Primarily a boxer, Khan has become well-rounded in recent years, and has used his new-found wrestling abilities to overcome some of his opponents.
When pressed, though, he will always go back to boxing as his personal favorite, as well as the best way for him to finish a fight. As he makes his much-anticipated return to action against Italy's Michael Realy, the 2018 IMMAF African champion is hoping to kickstart a winning streak that can lead him to the top of the heat - both at Super Lightweight as well as Super Welterweight.
