BRAVE CF 47 face-offs: Rana Rudra shoves Ali Guliev; Farhad and Karim turn up the heat ahead of India vs Pakistan clash
Rana Rudra was the main character at today’s BRAVE CF 47 weigh-ins and face-offs.
After missing weight for his Catchweight bout against Ali Guliev, the Indian undefeated fighter made sure to intimidate his opponent, shoving him and ensuring a strong exchange of words between both. Their fight will go ahead with Rana Rudra forfeiting 40% of his purse for the missed weight.
Rana stepped in at 65,1 kg for a 63 kg Catchweight, but Ali Guliev has accepted the fine against Rudra and the bout will be a part of this Thursday’s show.
Elsewhere there were other very intense face-offs, especially between India’s Mohammed Farhad and Uloomi Karim, from Pakistan. Both men made the Bantamweight limit, with Farhad weighing in at 61,2 kg and Karim marking 61,6 kg in the scale.
During the face-off, both men had their flags draped around them, and held them high, proving that the India vs Pakistan clash is an added layer for this hotly-contested match-up.
In the main event of BRAVE CF 47: Asian Domination, Rolando Dy takes on Abdisalam Kubanychbek, and the winner will earn a world title shot. ‘’The Omok’’ didn’t make weight for 0.3 kg but the fight will go on as expected and Kubanychbek will be fined 20% of his purse - the same percentage that Jenel Lausa will be forced to give up after coming in at 0.7kg over for his Flyweight contest against Ryskulbek Ibraimov.
